Years practicing medicine:

With more than a decade and a half of specialist experience, Dr. Andrew Hadj has distinguished himself as an expert in the realms of plastic and reconstructive surgery. His extensive skill set covers a broad range of areas, from skin cancer and melanoma procedures, hand and microsurgery, treatments for degenerative joint conditions, to cosmetic enhancements of the face and breasts, and body contouring operations. He's also adept in restorative facial treatments and reconstructive surgery for the upper and lower limbs in trauma cases.

His medical journey began at the University of Melbourne, where he earned his degree. He then undertook his specialized training in plastic surgery across several eminent public hospitals in Victoria. His placements included the major burns department at Alfred Hospital, the microsurgical unit of St. Vincents Hospital, and the trauma department at Royal Melbourne Hospital.

In 2017, Dr. Hadj further honed his skills in a postgraduate fellowship at London's Guys' and St Thomas’ Hospital. This opportunity allowed him to specialize in microsurgical hand procedures, trauma management, and reconstruction surgery.

On the academic front, Dr. Hadj completed a groundbreaking doctoral thesis examining the lymphatic patterns involved in tumor metastasis. He has been a frequent presenter at various international conferences, published in book chapters and contributed to multiple leading author journal articles throughout his training. Additionally, as a dedicated member of Interplast, he has spent a substantial amount of time in Tonga, offering his surgical expertise for reconstructive procedures in trauma cases, and for surgeries involving congenital cleft lip and palate disorders.

In 2018, Dr. Hadj made his return to Australia and joined the staff of the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane as a specialist in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and Hand & Upper Limb Surgery. He also operates privately across several premier hospitals in Brisbane and the Gold Coast region. His recognition includes a Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, membership in the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Queensland Hand Surgery Society, and the Australian Hand Surgery Society.
